We chose our trailer title 'The Void' to link with the story-line and the sub genre of our film. The word 'Void' means emptiness, this links to our genre paranormal because of the unsettling presence you usually get in a paranormal film. You cant see what is causing the problem in the trailer representing emptiness. We also thought of the idea that our main character Charlotte clearly has something wrong with her, showing shes not all there representing emptiness. Who has changed her? What or Who has possessed her, and made her crazy? We cant see it, therefore its a sense of nothingness. We chose the title 'The Void' because it doesn't give much away about the film therefore makes the audience want to see the teaser trailer and then go onto watching the film. We felt by choosing a short title it would make it slightly more catchy and rememberable to the audience, rather than a long boring one.
