First draft Poster
This was our first draft at our poster. We took a original photo of Charlotte with hands grabbing her then put this into photoshop. We used the dodge tool to brighten and make her look more white. We also used the soften tool to make her skin look more clear and more like a professional poster. We then used the burn tool to darken up the hair. We also used the paintbrush tool to make the edges around the eyes more red. We then added a layer over the top and used the overlay effect to make the eyes appear bloodshot. We then used the sharpen tool to sharpen up the eyes and make them more piercing. We then added the text over these layers and added a bevel to make it stand out more.

First Draft Magazine
This is our first draft at out magazine front cover. We took a original image of Faith holding a lighter. We then placed this on a black canvas in Adobe Photoshop. We then added a screenshot image from our teaser trailer of the Ouija board and cross. We placed this layer behind our image and used the burn tool around the edges of the image to blend it into the background. We then added the title of the magazine and tag line. We placed this behind our original image. We then used the erase tool to get rid of the background of the image to reveal the text underneath. This created a dark and distorted effect which gives the reader a idea of what the film is about. Finally we added the rest of the text like the title and price of the magazine as a new layer on top.
Second Draft Magazine
We were not happy with our first draft therefore we had another go to improve our magazine. We changed the title as the other title was too long and did not make the magazine stand out. We also changed the tag line to other films as other magazine we looked at did not contain the tag line of the movie. We also added the bar code and QR code to make the magazine look real and more professional. Another thing is that we got a candle picture and inserted it into photoshop. We used the lasso tool to get the bit of the candle we needed. We then used the eraser to rub out any extra bits that were not needed. This left us with our finished product.
Final Product Magazine
This is our final product. The second draft looked too plain therefore we made the title test bigger. We also added more text to make it look like a more realistic magazine cover.
