Paranormal Shot Practice
As we are doing a trailer based on a paranormal sub-genre we decided to try out some practice shots by reversing them after. By reversing them once uploaded to Final Cut, we could create a variety of shots that could be used in the trailer to make it realistic and to show it is paranormal.
Feedback
We gained some feedback on our reverse shot practices to see what was good and what areas needed to be improved. These are our responses:
- "Very realistic"
- "Have a larger variety of shots"
- "Try to stay in character to make it more believable"
- "The dragging along the table was a very effective shot"
After doing the first practice with shots, we then tried another variety. With this we including a 'bone-snapping' technique. Whilst Faith makes the actions and movements, Ricky snapped sticks in half next to the camera making it sound realistic to the audience.
Feedback
We then collected some more feed back for our broken bones/distortion practice clips to what people thought:
- "Slow down the clicking sounds to make it sound deeper and more realistic"
- "Try a new setting"
- "Very effective"
- "Good timing with the sounds matching the actions"
- "Good variety of shots, however, try to stay in character"
